Welcome to the Peterhead Sailing Club Website.
Peterhead Sailing Club is able to offer a complete range of sailing experience from beginners learning within the shelter of the marina, to regular sailing of dinghies, catamarans and yachts within the smooth waters of the harbour of refuge and venturing into the North Sea round the Skerrie rocks and beyond.
The Club has a history which dates from when the old Buchan Yacht club operated out of the bay in the 1960s, long before the Marina was established, but our clubhouse, built in 1995, and boat park with easy access to a sandy beach now provides modern facilities and hot showers as well as a good place to meet socially or watch the sailors in action.
The Club’s dinghy sailing activities concentrates strongly on our Sunday racing series and our Friday Novice racing, as well as a variety of other events, as a way to get people on the water with good safety cover. Our season normally runs between early April and the end of November. Sailing for beginners is encouraged by a membership with a variety of skills and qualifications who will generally be voluntarily available for advice and basic coaching.
Formal sailing courses and other training activities are provided by the Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust and you can contact them via this link.
If you want any further information about membership or our activities please do not hesitate to contact any of the committee members, whose details you will find on the Contacts Info page.
