Everyone is welcome to come along and meet the people behind the activities at Peterhead, discover what’s on offer and find out how you can get involved.

Whether you’re completely new or looking to get back into it, this is a great chance to chat with the clubs at Peterhead and discover Sailing, Windsurfing, Rowing and Stand Up Paddleboarding.

This event is focused on meeting the clubs, learning about what’s on offer and how to get involved. While there are opportunities to try activities, the day is designed as an introduction rather than a full activity session.

Activities from Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust, Windsurf SUP Club, Collieston Offshore Rowing Club and Peterhead Sailing Club.

Please note: Our activities rely on suitable weather conditions. If the weather isn’t on our side, the range of on-the-water activities may be limited.

This is a great family event and a perfect way to start something new or reconnect with the water. All you need is a towel and a pair of shoes that can get wet. If you have any questions, just message our Facebook page. There will also be plenty of volunteers on hand during the event.

Where is it?
Peterhead Sailing Club is at The Lido, South Road, AB42 2YP. Take the turn off South Road towards the Caravan Park and Marina, head along to the first car park and you will see the Sailing Club there. Free parking is available in our car park next to the sailing club (What3Words: ///motorist.documents.brisk).

Who is it for?
Everyone of all ages and abilities. You don’t need to be a member of any club to take part.

How much does it cost?
Free. We’re hosting this to share our enthusiasm for water based activities and help people get involved.

Do I need to bring anything?
Just bring shoes you don’t mind getting wet, a towel, and a change of clothes. If you end up in the water, we can provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids. If you have your own wetsuit, feel free to bring it along.
