Rosehearty Community Boat Club Visit
Peterhead Sailing Club members enjoyed a fantastic evening at Rosehearty Community Boat Club, with sailors of all ages taking to the water for a relaxed sail and social. It was great to see new sailors gaining confidence and everyone enjoying a welcoming evening on and off the water.
Big Bear Voyage Visits Peterhead Sailing Club
Peterhead Sailing Club welcomed the Big Bear Voyage 2026 crew and Pudsey Bear during their 2,200-mile UK sailing challenge, raising awareness and funds for BBC Children in Need.
Clubhouse Kitchen Refurbishment Complete
Peterhead Sailing Club has completed a major refurbishment of its clubhouse kitchen, creating a modern, accessible space for members, volunteers and community groups. The project has transformed one of the club's most-used facilities, improving accessibility, functionality and comfort while supporting year-round sailing, training and community activities.
13th Aberdeenshire & City Schools Regatta
Peterhead Sailing Club welcomed 39 sailors from 20 schools to the 13th Aberdeenshire & City Schools Regatta. Following a weekend of training and racing, competitors from across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire came together to compete for the prestigious Bluetoon Trophy in one of the North East's largest youth sailing events.
Volunteers Week 2026
Peterhead Sailing Club is proud to recognise and thank the many volunteers who help keep the club running, growing and thriving. During Volunteers' Week, we celebrate the individuals who give their time both on and off the water, supporting sailing activities, events, maintenance, administration and the future development of the club.
Club Racing Intro and Friday Sailing
A busy and fun weekend at the club, with Friday evening racing, the return of our Fun Friday Junior sessions, and an Introduction to Racing Day helping sailors build confidence and get involved with club racing.
Searider Rib Upgrade Work
Our Avon Searider RIB, now officially named Phoenix, has returned following a major refurbishment supported through grant funding and volunteer effort.
Open Day 2026
A successful open day at Peterhead Sailing Club brought together local watersports groups including Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust and the Windsurf SUP Club, giving visitors the chance to try sailing, windsurfing, wingfoiling and paddleboarding while finding out more about getting involved on the water locally.
Friday Night Sailing
Our first Friday Night Sailing of the season brought a great mix of boats and members afloat, with plenty more evenings like this planned over the summer. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or looking to get involved for the first time, there’s something for everyone at the club.
Youth Boat Refurb Project
An old unused Laser has been brought back to life after nearly a year of work stripping, repairing and rebuilding the boat. With support from members and funding from Buchan Youth Panel, it’s now back on the water with a fresh look, upgraded kit and even its original stickers recreated to preserve the boat’s history.
Getting Ready for the Season
Pre-season maintenance underway, from refreshed changing rooms to serviced boats, getting the club ready for a busy year ahead.
Solar Diverter Installation
A practical step towards improving energy efficiency at the clubhouse, using excess solar energy to heat water, reduce costs, and support year-round activity.
AGM & Prizegiving 2025
A look back at the 2025 season through our AGM and Prizegiving, recognising achievements on the water and contributions across the club.
Pride Of Buchan Awards
We had local Councillors join us on Monday night to present 2 Pride of Buchan awards, one for the club and one for Martin. It’s really great to see our club and Martin being recognised for their hard work.
Building Painting
At the start off the month we got a first coat of paint on the front of the clubhouse. This had been a job we had been planning for a while but the logistics of working at height proved challenging.
Thanks to two of our committee and a day of hard labour we are lucky to have the front complete in time for winter!
Supporting The Windsurf Sup Clubs Big Weekend
We had a great weekend supporting the Windsurf SUP Club at their annual Big Weekend on the 13th and 14th of September. It was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying windsurfing, winging and foiling in Peterhead!
Final Friday Pursuit Race & BBQ
Our Final Friday Night at the marina was a success with a ‘Pursuit Race’ where everyone could get involved followed by a Bbq at the clubhouse.
The Club’s Big Weekend
Our Big Weekend was packed with action on and off the water — plenty of sailing, racing, and a great BBQ topped off with a debut band performance from one of our junior members. Sunday’s cup race wrapped things up perfectly.
Monday Sailing
Monday sailing began at Easter with relaxed afternoon and lively after-school sessions, offering something for everyone. Over summer, open afternoon sessions brought all ages together on the water, creating busy, fun-filled days for all.
