Getting Ready for the Season
There’s been plenty happening behind the scenes as we get the club ready for the 2026 season.
A big focus has been on essential maintenance, particularly in the changing rooms. The changing rooms have had a significant refresh, the old bench tops were removed after deteriorating and the space was fully stripped back and repainted. Walls have been finished in white, with woodwork in a new grey we’re trialling to see how it stands up to the level of use the club sees.
Alongside this, the floors and surfaces have had a deep clean, with floor matting being deep cleaned, as well as updated signage, push pads and handles throughout. It’s the most extensive refurbishment the changing rooms have had in a long time and should make a noticeable difference for everyone using the facilities.
A big thank you to volunteers John and Jack Walls for carrying out this work.
On the water side, both the Humber and Pioneer powerboats have received their usual servicing, ready for the season ahead. The RIBs have also been serviced by Martin, antifouled, and are now back afloat, with support from the Windsurf SUP Club during launching.
All of this puts us in a strong position as we head into the new season, and we’re looking forward to getting back on the water in 2026.
