Pride Of Buchan Awards
We had local Councillors join us on Monday night to present 2 Pride of Buchan awards, one for the club and one for Martin. It’s really great to see our club and Martin being recognised for their hard work.
Building Painting
At the start off the month we got a first coat of paint on the front of the clubhouse. This had been a job we had been planning for a while but the logistics of working at height proved challenging.
Thanks to two of our committee and a day of hard labour we are lucky to have the front complete in time for winter!
Supporting The Windsurf Sup Clubs Big Weekend
We had a great weekend supporting the Windsurf SUP Club at their annual Big Weekend on the 13th and 14th of September. It was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying windsurfing, winging and foiling in Peterhead!
Final Friday Pursuit Race & BBQ
Our Final Friday Night at the marina was a success with a ‘Pursuit Race’ where everyone could get involved followed by a Bbq at the clubhouse.
The Club’s Big Weekend
Our Big Weekend was packed with action on and off the water — plenty of sailing, racing, and a great BBQ topped off with a debut band performance from one of our junior members. Sunday’s cup race wrapped things up perfectly.
Monday Sailing
Monday sailing began at Easter with relaxed afternoon and lively after-school sessions, offering something for everyone. Over summer, open afternoon sessions brought all ages together on the water, creating busy, fun-filled days for all.
RYA Impact Award At Peterhead

Bluetoon Schools Regatta 2025
We would like to say a MASSIVE well done to the 40 sailors who took part in our Bluetoon Schools Regatta this year, it was great to see so many North East sailors taking to the waters of Peterhead to enjoy some great sailing and compete for their schools.
Wooden Spoon Hansa Launch
Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust were delighted to welcome Norman Fiddes from Wooden Spoon Charity and World Champion in the Hansa class Rory McKinna to launch our brand new Wooden Spoon Hansa 303.
Open Day 2025
A big thank you to everyone who came along to the club for our open day. It was great to meet you all and we hope that you were able to learn more about what’s on offer at Peterhead Sailing Club and how you can get involved.
Back Afloat!
It was great to get back on the water for the start of season after winter. This meant we were dusting off covers and checking boots followed by a rather breezy sail in the afternoon. It takes more than you think to get back afloat, our volunteers are busy weeks in advance preparing powerboats engines and hulls to make sure they are ready for a busy season, they are preparing racing marks and the building gets it tlc whilst its quiet.
End Of Winter For Our Youth Group
Spring is here and that means our second winter with Monday Youth Group is over. All our group members from 2023/24 have stayed with us and it's been good to welcome some new young people joining us.
Going Green - Leds & Recycling
We've upgraded our clubhouse with energy-efficient LED lighting and introduced new recycling posters to promote sustainability. Plus, we're exploring more ways to reduce our environmental impact.

Aberdeen Tall Ships Sail Trainee Opportunity
We had a fantastic evening with our Monday Youth Group, where we welcomed local Peterhead sailor and Tall Ships Aberdeen ambassador, Finn Dixon. Where he talked with our young people about what the Tall Ships Races are and how they can get involved. We would like to thank Finn for giving up his time and sharing his amazing experiences with us!
Peterhead Solar Panels 4 Years On
Attached is our 2024 ‘wrapped’ taken from our solar panels and battery wall. As always we are looking at further ways of funding a greener future at the club and reducing our reliance on the grid.
Freya’s Sailing Journey Raising Mental Health Awareness
We are pleased to meet Freya who is in Peterhead over the harsher winter months whilst she's on her journey round the UK raising awareness for mental health.
Saying Goodbye To Our Committee Boat
Today we said goodbye to our old committee boat as it left Peterhead for a new home nearby. We hope the new owner enjoys many happy hours on the water.
Collieston Offshore Rowing Club Regatta
We were pelased to be able to support our friends at Collieston Offshore Rowing Club with their Corc cooler race 2024 which saw various nearby clubs come to Peterhead. The event was to celebrate 10 years since they launched their first rowing skiff the “Admiral Redsocks”
We had four keen club members help out in powerboats for the event and running the races.

The Windsurf Sup Club held a very busy Windsurf and Wing Weekend on the 16th and 17th of September. We were glad to be able to provide safety cover and racing equipment for them, it was a great weekend and amazing to see how busy the club was
